New production capacity of OLED in mainland promotes market share of driving IC

With the mass production of OLED capacity in mainland China in the second half of 2017, and the gross profit rate of OLED is higher than that of TFT driver IC, it is expected to boost the company's gross profit rate performance.
 
The legal person pointed out that Ruiding's main customers in OLED panel factory include Youda, BOE, Huaxing optoelectronics, Tianma and Hehui optoelectronics, and its brand customers include Huawei, ASUS, Dell and HP.
 
Huang Yuguo said that Ruiding's operation in TFT's large-size drive IC is healthy. Since 2016, the proportion of revenue from OLED has been increasing. In the past, large-size drive ICs accounted for 90% of the revenue. In 2016, small and medium-sized drive ICs accounted for 20% of the revenue. The most important product of the company's small and medium-sized drive ICs is OLED, and the rest is automotive and industrial control.
 
He stressed that since he took over the board of directors of Ruiding in 2014, he has cut into the drive IC for OLED, so as to catch up with the small and medium-sized products. After several years of efforts, the shipment of drive IC from OLED continued to expand in 2016, and led to the growth of small and medium-sized revenue. In the second half of 2017, the mainland's new OLED capacity was opened, and Ruiding's performance will rise.
 
In the past, a single customer accounted for 80% of Ruiding's revenue. After several years of efforts, it has now dropped to about 60%. He said that in the next three years, large-size products will be stable, OLED products will continue to grow, vehicle and industrial control will also grow, and the integration of t-con and drive IC will bring about a good prospect of operation.
 
He pointed out that at present, Ruiding's OLED driver IC is mainly based on hard OLED panels, but at present, almost all the new products are flexible OLED screens, and the gross profit rate of flexible OLED is much better than that of hard OLED, which helps to improve profits.
