LG starts mass production of all plastic flexible OLED displays this summer

LG display will mass produce "truly flexible" plastic OLED displays from July this year. Although LG's g flex 2 and Samsung's Galaxy note edge smartphones are equipped with flexible displays, it turns out that there is still room for improvement. Current flexible OLED displays are also covered with a thin layer of glass, which limits their radius of curvature to 2.95 inches (75mm). LG's new technology can produce flexible displays made entirely of plastic with a radius of curvature of 1.18 inches (30mm).
