The electronics industry is the largest export industry in Hong Kong, accounting for 64% of Hong Kong's total exports in 2015. Most of the exports are high-tech products, especially telecommunications equipment, semiconductors and computer related products. The mainland of China is the main source and destination of electronic products trade in Hong Kong. Parts account for about three-quarters of Hong Kong's exports of electronic products, most of which are re exported to the mainland of China for processing and production purposes. Manufactured goods account for about a quarter of Hong Kong's exports of electronic products, most of which are consumer electronics, including a variety of audio-visual equipment, computer products and telecommunications equipment. Most Hong Kong manufacturers have moved their production facilities to the mainland of China to cut costs. The Hong Kong office is mainly responsible for R & D, product design and development, management, logistics support and marketing.
